LUCKY PIERRE MAY HAVE ONE OF THE MOST UNDERRATED CLEVELAND PUNK SINGLES

Call it power pop, glam, punk rock, or whatever you want; Fans and Cameras is one hell of an underrated single. Lucky Pierre started in 1974 and released this slab of vinyl in 1978. They would kick around for the next few years in the same circle as Pere Ubu, sharing the stage with everyone from Devo to Elvis Costello. In 1988, the band reformed with future Nine Inch Nails member, Trent Reznor. Not much came out of their 1988 release ep Communiqué , and Lucky Pierre mainstay/songwriter, Kevin McMahon, would go on to form the 90s industrial act, Prick. In the 2000s, he again reformed Lucky Pierre, this time as a solo act. The band then released their first LP but Fans and Camera remains the definitive cult classic.
